Things I Like: Madewell Jeans

I’d like to build a “shop” section of this blog at some point. I think that would be easier to link a lot of the things people ask me about, but I just haven’t gotten there. With that said, Madewell is currently offering 20% off its entire website (and 25% for Stars and Icons), with 10% cash back on Rakuten (which you should be using if you are not already), and I thought I’d link a few pairs of denim that are already on sale + another 20% off if you’re looking for some new jeans.
Also, I like Madewell jeans for a lot of reasons but I also am a big fan of their recycling program. I appreciate the work they are doing to resell or repurpose jeans we are no longer wearing. I am working on my fast fashion consumption—and to be clear, Madewell is still considered a fast fashion brand—but I do appreciate their work at recycling jeans (so that’s why we’re focusing just on jeans today). They have work to do in a number of ways as a company overall but this is one step in the right direction for them.
As a reminder, anything I link may provide a commission to me if you purchase an item.
The 9″ mid-rise skinny jeans are my personal favorite at Madewell. They are my go-to. This dark wash (linked above) is really nice, especially if you are looking for a pair you can dress up or down.
Other 9″ mid-rise skinny jeans options:
I like the 10″ high-rise skinny jeans and own a couple of pairs myself, but they’re probably just a little too high-rise for me personally (I’m 5’4″, for reference). I do like them still, mostly because they’re very comfortable. I’m probably just not personally front-tucking anything when wearing these particular jeans.
(Side note: The sizes on these styles are selling out quickly, so while this had a full range of sizes when I first posted, they’re now more limited. These, for example, are similar but still have more size options. I’ll keep linking additional options below.)
Other 10″ high-rise skinny jeans options:
I really like Madewell’s vintage straight jeans, but a word of warning: There is typically no stretch to these like other jeans I’ve linked. I’d recommend sizing up one size just for a more comfortable fit.
Other vintage straight jeans options:
It’s worth noting that many of these same styles come in petite, tall, curvy and plus-size. There are also some maternity options. I’ve linked a couple of those options above, but there are many more on the Madewell website to look through.
There are also many more options than just the ones in the sale section, but I focused my time there because I believe it’s the best way to get the best deal. I like to wait for Madewell sales to buy jeans because I can then stack the additional percentage off with the sale price. I also recommend signing up to be a Madewell Insider (you’ll have to to get the 20% off) but you’ll also earn points toward rewards that you can then also stack on future purchases.
Again, be sure to sign up for Rakuten to get 10% cash back as well. Makes it an even better deal.
