Friday Five: February 4

Happy February, everyone!

What a week. It’s been a good week, but a tiring one. I’ve adjusted some of my routine in the last week, which has been good but habits are hard to form. I’ll get to more of that in a minute though.

Before we get going, I’m excited to include my first partnership in this Friday roundup of things I like and am paying attention to right now. It’s a partnership about a month in the making and it makes me happy that I can finally share more. As I’ve said before, I will always be transparent about anything I’ve partnered on or any links that are commissionable and I will never share something I don’t sincerely like or use myself.

Now let’s get to it.

Greenline Goods

I’m sincerely so excited to share this one with y’all. Full transparency: I’ve partnered with Greenline Goods and they sent me the Nebraska whiskey glasses to try and share with you (if I liked them, of course). They also gave me full control over what to share and when to share it, which I appreciate because I never want to recommend something to you without actually spending time with the product.

My initial impression of the glasses is that they are well-made and I think they would make a great gift (heck, for yourself if you want). They have 12 different universities on their site now plus a whole slew of other collections to choose from. You could easily give them as a graduation gift, a housewarming present, you name it.

Greenline Goods was also kind enough to give me a promo code for you. Use code Erin15 for 15% off your order (and shipping is always free!).

Also, thank you to Greenline Goods for giving me the opportunity to partner with them. They’re pretty rad and I’m looking forward to sharing some cocktails I’ve made using their glassware very soon.

Back At It

Last week I discussed my routine and getting back to listening to my daily podcasts. That was a good start.

This week? Well, I’m back to working out but this time a little differently than in the past. Typically, I’ll wait to work out until later in the day. The problem with that is I’ll often get busy, lose motivation and then I won’t want to do anything. As for my husband, he doesn’t work from home like I often do so he’ll be gone all day and won’t want to do anything when he gets home. I totally understand.

So this week we decided to start working out first thing in the morning. Our alarms go off at 6am and we are in the basement by 6:15. We switch between our Peloton bike and treadmill, and we also have space for strength and other classes.

It’s been a hard adjustment, but I’m not upset about it.

The best class I took this week? Susie Chan’s Lunar New Year Run (2/1/22). If you have the bike, I recommend Emma Lovewell’s Lunar New Year Ride from 2021 (the air date was 2/12/21 if you search for it).

National Girls and Women in Sports Day

Wednesday was National Girls and Women in Sports Day. While I believe EVERY DAY is a celebration of girls and women in sports day, I did appreciate the really great content that came out of Wednesday.

I shared a lot about the day on Twitter, Instagram and TikTok, so I won’t rehash that all here but I will leave you with this fantastic video.

Scout in a Sweater

There is nothing else I need to say.

With that, have a good weekend.

I’ll be back next week with more, including a new recipe (that sort of came to be on accident). Get excited!
