Valentine’s Day looks to love

Oh, Valentine’s Day. It’s a day that has taken many forms over the years for me. In fact, I’ll never forget the “V(odka) Day” celebrations of college. Ah, memories.

I’ve honestly never disliked Valentine’s Day. It’s always been a day to share appreciation and love for those around me, whether that be friends, my family, or a significant other. I’ve also never believed it had to be this overly romantic holiday, unless you want it to be.

Aside from all that, I’ve always loved the colors of Valentine’s Day. The reds and the pinks, from soft to vibrant. It’s a fun holiday to dress for, especially if you need a pop of color in the middle of winter.

I’m keeping my Valentine’s Day looks more casual this year, but that doesn’t mean they can’t be full of color and a little fun. Need proof? I’ve put together two outfits with bold statements to share a little extra love this Valentine’s Day (or Vodka Day, if you prefer).

I loved this sweater from Hello Ruby the moment I saw it. It’s perfect for Valentine’s Day, with a subtle message for those paying attention. I added my pinkest jacket from J. Crew Factory and a soft blush beret from Hello Holiday to complete the look.

My favorite part of this outfit? It’s so comfortable, but you still feel festive. Amen.

Talk about quite literally wearing your heart on your… chest. I don’t know, y’all. I saw this sweatshirt and I fell in love. It’s so obnoxious (in the best way) and I couldn’t resist. It’s also only $12, so you really can’t beat that.

Also, I keep wearing these exact sneakers with these exact jeans but I can’t help it. I love both. The jeans are so comfortable and the shoes are just fun. The hat is also a big time favorite.

Again, this look is more casual but it makes it clear what you’re celebrating. Win-win.

No matter how you celebrate Valentine’s Day (or don’t, for that matter), I hope you have a wonderful start to February. And may we all show each other just a little more love this month. Not because it’s Valentine’s Day, but because it’s just a nice way to live.

xoxoxoxo.
